Every two years, WITBN holds the World Indigenous Television Broadcasting Conference. The aim of the conference is to create opportunities for Indigenous broadcasters to exchange views and experiences; and to encourage interaction and communication among Indigenous media worldwide.
The conference gives Indigenous media around the world a platform for sharing media know-how, and discussing the challenges of Indigenous media in a competitive and fast-growing environment.
The World Indigenous Television Broadcasting Conference – WITBC ’12 – will be hosted by NRK Sápmi in Norway in March 2010.
UPDATE - July: NRK Sápmi launches the conference web site. Click the logo below to check out the WITBC '12 website and register to the conference.
UPDATE - March: NRK Sápmi releases the conference logo: a geometric figure to symbolize aurorae, the northern polar light, and the rising sun. The logo demonstrates the positive spirit of the Indigenous world. To read the latest update of WITBC '12, go to WITBN Update.
