1. Little Science Hunters: 8 Episodes
Duration: 24 minutes / Youth and Educational Program Little Science Hunters is a children’s television program from Taiwan Indigenous TV. The show explores scientific principles by experimenting and hands-on crafting of indigenous artifacts that are used even in today’s indigenous communities. Each episode gathers children from different elementary schools, visit experts and elders from indigenous villages, and enters the world of science in a way you’ve never seen before!
2. Post-typhoon Program: Long Time No See, Malenga
Duration: 90 min As a travel show host, Malenga had formed deep friendships in all areas of Taiwan. After Typhoon Morakot devastated indigenous villages, Malenga revisits these disaster areas and bring hope to indigenous families. In this critically acclaimed series, Malenga interviews victims of Typhoon Morakot to get first hand accounts while showing them that the spirit of indigenous peoples can overcome any disaster.
3. Post-typhoon Factual: Under the Tree—Journey of the Clouded Leopard Reconstruction after Morakot

The popular documentary series, Under the Tree, explores the traditions and cultures of Taiwan's Indigenous Peoples. After the tragic Typhoon Morakot of August 8th, 2009, the series shifted its focus to follow the recovery and reconstruction of Indigenous villages. Heart-warming stories and detailed interviews from different tribes of different parts of Taiwan depict the indomitable spirit of the Indigenous Peoples. Through the destruction left by Typhoon Morakot in 2009, this episode of Under the Tree explores a government relocation project which should have taken place two years ago. The Haocha villagers, whose home have been destroyed by another typhoon two years prior, have been living in crowded temporary housing for two years. Now with even more people in need, the government is expecting to further delay Haotsa's relocation project. Once proud of their majestic homeland, Haocha, the Land of the Snow Leopard, the villagers are now reduced to waiting endlessly for their homes.
4. Documentary of the Year: The Kuroshio Love Story
Duration: 52 min This story depicts Australasian life on Taiwan’s Orchid Island. The leading actress, Lida, experiences struggle as do the other residents. She is from the Batanes Islands, a place that exists in the distant memories of the residents of Orchid Island. More than 400 years ago, they rowed their canoes from the Batanes Islands along the Kuroshio Current to reach their new home on Orchid Island. Lida's life also follows the Kuroshio Current, which runs past the island. It is the tie that binds, while revealing the family's rich history and loving relationships.
