The Network to Promote Linguistic Diversity (NPLD) and the Welsh television channel S4C are holding a joint conference, entitled "European Cooperation for Regional Language Broadcasting". The conference will be held in Cardiff, Wales on Dec. 8 to 9, 2011.

Taiwan Indigenous Television (TITV) marked its sixth anniversary on July 1. This year, TITV hired a senior weather forecast presenter to train two Indigenous anchors, who are helping to present more accurate meteorological information for Indigenous settlements and regions around Taiwan.

National Indigenous TV (NITV) celebrated its fourth anniversary on July 13, acknowledging its achievements since 2007. Four years ago, NITV became Australia’s only channel dedicated to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and its culture.
